Excellent communication and listening skills are required. Mother-Baby/Surgical floor specialty care. Service-Friendly individualized patient care where patients come first each and every shift. Obtain and document vital signs according to age-appropriate skills Monitor and document intake and output Assist patient/families with ADLs Assist with initiation and removal of non-invasive monitoring equipment, as directed Report changes in patient's condition in a timely manner to appropriate primary nurse Assist with collection of specimens and transport of specimens Ensures patient safety Assists with transport of patients as directed Performs waste removal from all areas of patient care area Stocks and maintains supplies, assists with the cleanliness of the work environment Actively participates in maintaining a clean, organized environment HIPAA Will be trained for specialty area skills required during orientation HS diploma or equivalent, completion of organizational and unit-based orientation. Previous healthcare experience preferred. Adheres to HIPAA regulations and follows organization policies and procedures related to patient safety, infection control, PPE use, and equipment operation. Professionalism, compassion and respect. Strong communication and listening skills, collaboration with team members, service-focused and patient centered care every shift.
