Insurance Coordinator Acadiana Dentures Breaux Bridge, LA Job Details Part-time $17 - $20 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications HIPAA Administrative experience Dental terminology Attention to detail Organizational skills Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented part time Insurance Coordinator/Credentialing Coordinator to join our dental office. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients and insurance companies to ensure seamless insurance processing, verification, and authorization. Your expertise will help streamline administrative workflows and enhance patient satisfaction. If you possess a strong foundation in dental coding/billing and insurance policies, this is the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patient care coordination. Responsibilities Manage the process of enrolling and credentialing the dental practice with dental insurance companies, including completing provider applications, submitting required documentation, tracking enrollment status and maintaining in-network participation. Accurately submit and process dental insurance claims using appropriate CDT procedure codes, dental diagnostic codes when applicable. Manage dental records with strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with providers to ensure accurate documentation of dental records and coding for billing purposes. Conduct insurance verification processes to confirm coverage details before appointments or procedures. Assist patients with questions related to their dental insurance policies, managed care plans, and billing inquiries while providing excellent customer service. Obtain prior authorization from insurance companies for procedures, treatments according to dental insurance policies Experience Proven experience working in a dental office setting or administrative role. Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, and the requirements for insurance prior authorization. Competence in current dental terminology, procedure codes. Experience verifying insurance coverage and benefits for diverse insurance plans. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient privacy and data security at all times. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing dental records and billing documentation. Experience with EagleSoft This is a small and relaxed office that offers one-on-one patient care. You'll have the chance to focus on your tasks without feeling overwhelmed by a heavy workload. This part-time position offers flexibility, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.
