Job Description
JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION
Responsible for following the intake process and facility admission criteria to ensure timely and appropriate patient admissionsESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
include but are not limited to the following: This position is for Intake Hospital Admissions- Intake Department
- 8 hour shift (12 AM
- 8 AM; Monday
- Friday) Facilitates admissions by following intake process for appropriate criteria Reviews commitment status and intake information for admissions with the Intake Manager along with assistance of the Director of Nursing or their designee Thoroughly verifies insurance and documents benefits appropriately Completes inquiry form in its entirety Completion of all admissions processes Ensures unit safety by ensuring that acuity is assessed prior to patient being transferred to the unit Maintains referral log accurately and concurrently Completes UR driven documentation, such as eligibility verification, printed documents, etc.
