We are looking for a talented NP-PA who is interested in a balanced mix of inpatient hospital care and outpatient office care. Outpatient care will focus on establishing a robust heart failure practice under the direct supervision of the medical director of heart failure. Inpatient care will alternate with outpatient responsibilities, working with a group of APPs to manage cardiology patients at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

  • Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.
Southcoast Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities Position reports to the Care Center Chief, and Cardiovascular Care Center APP Lead. Perform duties in being responsible for evaluation, care, and management of patients in an outpatient clinic setting or inpatient setting under the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts governing Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant practice. Conduct hospital rounds as directed by individually assigned physicians Assist in the coordination of care and discharge planning Perform exams, episodic illness visits and follow up care visits Ordering laboratory and diagnostic testing and prescribing medications as needed Qualifications Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A
  • approved Physician Assistant program is required.
Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
Nurse Practitioner:
Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required. Current Massachusetts Nursing Practitioner's License or Physician Assistant License/Certificate is required. Pay Range USD $60.64
