Your role is vital in ensuring a smooth patient intake process, managing appointments, verifying insurance details, and maintaining accurate health records. Duties Greet patients warmly and guide them through the intake process with professionalism and empathy Collect, verify, and update patient information using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software Schedule appointments efficiently while coordinating with medical staff to optimize daily workflows Confirm insurance coverage, explain health policies, and assist patients with insurance documentation procedures Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient records in accordance with health regulation policies and HIPAA standards Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries to appropriate departments Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems Experience Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes Knowledge of health regulation policies, health insurance procedures, and electronic health record (EHR) management systems such as EMR/EHR software Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and client interactions Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to both general healthcare and dental practices Experience supporting medical administrative functions like appointment scheduling, patient data entry, and maintaining confidentiality Office experience demonstrating organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities This role is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a caring healthcare environment.
