PATIENT
CARE REPRESENTATIVE
Neurological office is seeking intelligent, driven and reliable candidates. Patient Care Representatives serve as the initial person to greet, instruct and direct all patients visiting the office-utilizing skills of tact, drive and confidentiality in a professional manner.
Must be:
Enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, friendly, hardworking and detail oriented. Patient Care Representatives are expected to follow the daily protocols of the practice. You are expected to represent our company keeping our vision at the forefront of each patient interaction. The job duties are as follows: Check in / Check Out patients verify and update all demographic and insurance information and collection of co-payments resulting in proper cash reconciliation. Verify patient insurance and referrals available. Maintain appointment computer scheduling in accordance with office scheduling policies. Prepping demographics and charts for upcoming appointments. Utilizing a multi-line phone system, fax machine, printer, copier, and scanner to process patients through check in/checkout process. Answering Multi-Phone Lines, Faxing, Scanning Documentation and Completing Daily Patient phone messages and callbacks. Scheduling/organizing diagnostic tests, transition of cares, follow up appointments for patients. Contacting / interacting with appropriate facilities, such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, etc. in regards to patient care. Pulling tests as required for an assigned physician, or as a back-up to another co-worker. Perform administrative support as required. Other duties as assigned by managers and leads.
SKILLS:
Strong communication skills, verbal and written Extensive customer service experience Ability to work within a team and take direction Proven ability to multi-task Computer skills, being proficient with Windows based software Strong problem solving skills and ability to think quickly, professional and efficiently Ability to represent our organization in a professional manner
EMR:
Athena Heath experience preferred
