We are a small, close-knit office of hard-working staff, committed to providing an excellent experience and care to our patients. As we are a small private practice we can go extra for our patients and staff. You will be expected to assist patients and the doctor for Clinical Note writing , coordinate patient schedules, patient appointments, as well as provide general office support. Additionally, administrative duties include greeting patients as they arrive, answering phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and updating and filing patients' medical records. We are looking for someone driven to learn, who is highly organized and works efficiently and well with others. Someone with good communication skills and who is always looking for ways to improve. This job is a great learning experience for students looking to get into the medical field; this is an environment that lends itself to providing great training and skills to people who want to level-up in their field and expand their skill-set.
What you would do:
  • Provide quality patient care, with organizational skills that will perpetuate high standards of care for patients and families.
  • Join hands with other staff and doctor with providing care that is appropriate for the patient's age.
  • Supply aid in devising a plan of care for patients that takes into account patient problems, anticipated outcomes, and addresses preventative measures.
  • Prepare for patient visits by familiarizing yourself with the patient's medical history.
  • Take and record patient vitals reconcile problems and medication.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient questions, and take messages Prepare rooms and ensure supplies are ready, ordering more when necessary File insurance forms and call insurance companies with questions about coverage
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to provide the best comfort and care to patients
  • Ability to assist with a varied workload
  • Attention to detail
  • Quick thinking and Problem-solving skills
  • Multitasker a must.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Associate Degree in a medical field a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience working in a hospital or related healthcare environment
  • Experience with medical billing/coding
