Job Description

Job Requirements Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office. Performs a wide variety of administrative & technical functions including patient registration and checkout, appointment confirmation & scheduling, insurance verification and charge capture. Work Experience
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education & Training:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience working in EPIC is strongly preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience:
Two (2) years' experience in a medical office setting with computer experience is required. General knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience with insurance verification and scheduling is required. Knowledge of medical coding and billing function is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple priorities; work independently, take initiative in achieving expected results, and handle confidential information. Effective oral and written communication. High degree of organization, prioritization, cooperation and collaboration. Demonstrated skill in making effective decisions, attention to detail and follow through, and ability to interact successfully with diverse types of individuals including physicians, other staff and the general public. Consistently exhibits professionalism and positivity.
