A Great Opportunity for an Experienced Medical Office Professional Glaucoma Consultants is a private ophthalmology practice specializing in glaucoma care. We are seeking an experienced Patient Coordinator to join our close-knit team. Competitive pay:
$18.00-$24.00/hour depending on experience and qualifications. Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 19-32 paid vacation days , based on years of service Paid holidays in addition to vacation Established, patient-focused ophthalmology practice Professional, respectful, team-oriented work environment Paid Vacation 19 days after 1-5 years 22 days after 5-10 years 27 days after 10-15 years 32 days after 15+ years

Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Health savings account Paid time off What You'll Do As a Patient Coordinator, you will help keep our practice running smoothly while providing excellent service to our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Scheduling patient appointments and managing the appointment calendar Answering phone calls and responding to patient questions in a professional and timely manner Greeting and checking in patients Obtaining and verifying accurate demographic and insurance information Verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations and referrals Preparing charge slips Collecting patient copayments and processing payments Maintaining accurate patient records and medical information Scanning patient documents, and imaging into the EMR system Coordinating referrals to specialists when needed Working closely with physicians and healthcare providers to maintain efficient patient flow Supporting the team with other administrative duties as needed Qualifications At least 3 years of medical office or healthcare experience High school diploma or equivalent Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a busy medical office EMR experience preferred Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor Dependable, punctual, and committed to teamwork Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Reliable transportation The Person We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that every patient interaction matters .
