Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as on of the first point of contacts for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate medical documentation, and efficient communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering quality healthcare support in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out Manage appointment scheduling using our electronic health record (EHR) eClinicalWorks Verify patient insurance coverage and process medical collections accurately Handle phone communication with professionalism, utilizing multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette to address inquiries and coordinate appointments Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry with 10 key typing skills, and maintaining organized medical files Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting or clinic environment with strong knowledge of medical terminology and health information management Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such eClinicalWorks is helpful Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person Strong clerical skills including filing, multi-line phone handling, typing (including 10 key), and office organization Clinic or hospital experience is preferred Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and billing processes Join our team where your skills will make a meaningful difference! Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
