We are a small, calm, "cozy" practice looking for someone friendly, dependable, compassionate, and who enjoys working with people. Medical office experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who fits our team. Experience with Epic EMR is a plus , and medical billing experience is a strong plus. Responsibilities Answer patient phone calls with professionalism and compassion Greet and assist patients in the office Schedule and manage patient appointments Update and maintain electronic medical records Verify insurance coverage and patient information Collect copayments and other patient payments Assist with medical records, forms, filing, and general office duties Communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up needs Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Assist providers and other staff with day-to-day office needs Billing and coding assistance, depending on experience What We're Looking For A friendly, positive, and compassionate personality Excellent phone and communication skills Someone who is a true people person and makes patients feel comfortable and welcomed Dependable, organized, and able to pay attention to details Comfortable using computers and learning new systems Able to work well independently and as part of a small team Medical office experience is welcome, but not required Epic EMR experience is a plus Medical billing experience is a strong plus Compensation Pay is based on experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients and would like to become part of a small, welcoming medical practice. We are happy to train someone who may not have medical office experience but has the right personality, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
