Job Description

Make a difference in students' lives by bringing your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a welcoming school community near Dearborn Heights, MI. This full-time, contract opportunity offers you the chance to support a local district, with primary responsibilities at a dynamic elementary school. You'll work closely with a supportive staff, engaging a caseload of around 25 students, and create meaningful impact in a nurturing educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT license in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain) Strong background in school-based occupational therapy Ability to assess, design, and implement individualized therapy plans for students Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and families Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Previous experience working in elementary school settings preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students primarily at an elementary campus Conduct thorough assessments to determine students' needs and develop IEP goals Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to integrate therapy into students' daily routines Design and implement interventions to help students participate fully in the classroom and school activities Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure student success Maintain all required documentation accurately and promptly
