PATIENT ACCESS

Patient Access Representative II Casual Scheurer Hospital, a critical access rural hospital, is looking for a casual Patient Access Representative II.

Responsibilities:

Obtaining signatures on Conditions of Admissions Initiating Advance Directives, when applicable Ensure documentation meets current mandated standards, policies and procedures Register inpatient, swing bed, and observation patients Schedule outpatient department visits and educate patients on any necessary prep instructions Submit data for Consumer Products May work as a receptionist or registrar if needed May work different shifts as needed Collect payments at the time of registration and maintain the Michigan standard of error-free accounts Abide by the Scheurer Health Behavioral Standards Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
