Full-Time Position Summary:
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient front office operations in a fast-paced urgent care clinic. This position is responsible for patient registration, payment collection, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team environment where excellent communication and multitasking are essential. Hours would be 8:00am - 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner. Register new and returning patients while accurately entering demographics. Collect co-pays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payments while following clinic financial policies. Coordinate patient flow to support efficient clinic operations. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient arrivals, scheduling changes, and urgent patient needs. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and clinic privacy policies. Scan, upload, and organize patient documentation within the electronic medical record. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times. Assist patients with completing registration forms and obtaining required documentation. Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues to leadership when appropriate. Assist with medical records requests in accordance with clinic policies and applicable regulations. Collaborate with clinicians, medical assistants, nurses, and other team members to ensure a positive patient experience. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED required. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a medical office, urgent care, primary care, emergency department, or other healthcare setting preferred. Experience with patient registration, scheduling, and payment collection. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during high-volume and stressful situations. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
