Full Job Description Job Summary:
The patient access representative plays a pivotal role in delivering a world-class patient experience at a busy and rapidly growing spine practice. The position will be based in the office in Burnsville, MN. This multi- faceted position is responsible for all aspects of patient access, including registration, scheduling, and health insurance verification. The role ensures clinical efficiency and supports a seamless patient care journey by coordinating administrative, clinical, and radiology-related tasks. This position requires a motivated, patient-focused individual committed to delivering exceptional care.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Exceptional Phone and communication skills. 2. Promptly and professionally answer incoming calls, resolve inquiries, or route them appropriately while documenting details in the electronic health record. 3. Knowledge of patient insurance benefits, coverage limitations, financial responsibilities to patients, and collection of payments 4. Pre-Visit planning for all patients, including management of telehealth organization and set up. 5. Coordinate patient care beyond the clinic visit. 6. Utilize scheduling systems to ensure accurate appointment records. 7. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards. 8. Assist with other duties as assigned to help drive our vision and fulfil our mission
Training Expectations:
The initial period of training will begin at the Burnsville site for HR related responsibilities and introductions to company culture. Following this, training continues with regular in-person check-ins.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Cooperative disposition.
- 1 year of related experience (Healthcare support preferred.)
- Proficiency in office equipment use (Phones, headsets, Printers, Fax, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking skills, diplomacy, and problem-solving.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer applications, EHR systems, and radiology software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Billing and insurance experience
- Health information management
