Wage:
$17.31 to $19.47 hourly No Driver's License is required. High School diploma or GED is required. Two years of dental business office experience is preferred, including treatment scheduling. Group practice experience preferred. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required. Knowledge of Native American communities, culture, customs, and beliefs is preferred. Experience working with Native Americans clients, communities and is able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations. Some travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
All employees shall thoroughly wash hands and arms with soap and water before starting work and wash hands during work hours as often as may be required removing soil and contamination as well as after visiting the washroom. Prolonged sitting, with some lifting and walking is required. Use accepted dental terminology. Operate computer and maintain proficiency in dental EHR. Greet dental patients, sales representatives, and visitors. Schedule and confirm dental appointments. Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts. Receive and route incoming phone calls. Triage dental emergencies. Obtain registration information from new patients, update registration information at each appointment for all patients. Obtain completed and signed medical history forms from patients. Maintain an active recall system and active call list. Collect fees for lab cases, as outlined in the eligibility guidelines, and issue receipts. Set up fluoride testing for individual wells, receive and route samples, and send results to doctors. Assist in orientation and training of new employees. Help coordinate arrival of lab cases and appointments. Help coordinate transportation to and from appointments as requested. Attend staff retreats, monthly meetings, and in-service as requested by dental coordinator. Participate in Quality Assurance activities as directed. Department uniform is required and provided to the employee, which must be worn during scheduled work hours unless prior arrangements have been made with management. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
