Job Description

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and helping patients feel welcomed and cared for? Richie Eye Clinic & LASIK Center is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a Patient Services Representative, you will be the first point of contact for many of our patients. This role is essential to ensuring patients receive prompt assistance, accurate scheduling, and exceptional service while supporting our Call Center and Business Office operations. Primary ResponsibilitiesPatient Scheduling & Call Center Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally. Schedule patient appointments accurately based on provider availability and patient needs. Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, responsible party, and contact information. Monitor appointment voicemail messages and respond timely. Confirm upcoming patient appointments. Assist patients with appointment requests, questions, and general inquiries. Administrative Support Monitor and respond to online appointment requests and patient messages. Coordinate provider schedule changes and communicate appointment reschedules with patients. Print reports and patient records as needed. Process medical record requests while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Contact patients who are overdue for appointments and assist with scheduling recall visits. Business Office Support Scan and organize documents within the electronic record system. Maintain electronic scan folders and ensure records are properly filed. Provide front desk coverage as needed. Verify insurance eligibility. Post patient payments to accounts when assigned. Perform additional administrative duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous customer service, medical office, call center, or scheduling experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records preferred. Knowledge of medical insurance and scheduling is a plus. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
