This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, managing details, and contributing to efficient clinical workflows in a healthcare setting. As the first point of contact for many patients, the Appointment Scheduler plays an important role in creating a positive experience while ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately and efficiently. Pay Information Minnesota Urology believes in pay transparency. Compensation ranges are based on current market data and reviewed to remain competitive. Final hourly rates are determined by experience, job-related skills, location, and internal equity.
Hourly Pay Range:
$19.60 - $24.50 (Dependent on prior healthcare appointment scheduling experience) What You'll Be Doing In this position, you will answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments. You'll gather relevant patient information, identify appropriate appointment types, and coordinate scheduling based on provider availability. Throughout the day, you will update patient records, document interactions, and use electronic health record systems to manage appointments and send reminders. You will regularly communicate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, respond to patient questions, and support daily clinic operations. Providing courteous, patient-focused service and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment are key aspects of the role. What We're Looking For Successful candidates are strong communicators who can interact with patients professionally and empathetically. The role requires solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Comfort using scheduling software or electronic health record systems is important, as is the ability to adapt to changing priorities. A customer-service mindset and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
