Schedule appointments, reschedule or cancel as needed, utilizing patient management software and electronic health records (EHR). Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and personal data, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries to appropriate staff members. Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately by entering data efficiently and updating patient files regularly. Process insurance claims and verify coverage in accordance with health regulation policies. Support medical administrative functions such as billing support, document preparation, and maintaining organized office records. Requirements Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or EMR/EHR systems. Knowledge of health insurance policies and claims processing procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality following HIPAA regulations and other privacy standards. Ability to type quickly and accurately to support documentation needs. Prior office experience preferred; certification or training in medical administrative support is a plus.
