Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your energetic approach will help facilitate smooth patient interactions, manage appointments, and support administrative functions within a busy medical office environment. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using patient management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and personal data, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries appropriately Manage patient records electronically, ensuring compliance with health regulation policies and maintaining strict confidentiality standards Assist with billing processes by verifying insurance coverage and explaining payment options to patients Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and correspondence to streamline office operations Skills Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication tasks Familiarity with health regulation policies and maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines Experience using patient management software, Electronic Health Records (EHR), or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for accurate data entry and retrieval Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and client interactions Knowledge of health insurance processes and billing procedures to assist patients accurately Strong organizational skills including typing speed and accuracy for efficient record-keeping and data management Join us in delivering exceptional patient experiences through energetic support and meticulous administrative excellence.
