Our team is committed to ensuring patient comfort and delivering high-quality healthcare services. Patient Care Coordinator / Front Desk Receptionist Full-Time (39 Hours Per Week) | Competitive Pay Based on Experience Join a Busy, Patient-Focused Private Oral Surgery Practice We are seeking a professional, personable, and highly organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and understands that exceptional customer service can make all the difference in a patient's experience. Our practice prides itself on providing a concierge-level experience from the moment a patient schedules their appointment until their treatment is complete. We are looking for someone who is warm, welcoming, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining a positive attitude and the highest level of professionalism. This position is currently part-time at approximately 29 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate. Why You'll Love Working Here Supportive providers and experienced staff Stable, privately owned oral surgery practice Positive, team-oriented culture Professional yet friendly work environment Opportunity for growth and advancement Potential for transition to a full-time position as practice needs evolve Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and compassion Create an exceptional first impression for every patient interaction Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and appointment coordination Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring accuracy of information Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information Collect payments and maintain accurate documentation Coordinate closely with clinical staff and providers to ensure a seamless patient experience Manage multiple priorities while maintaining outstanding customer service Travel between our Durham and Chapel Hill office locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous dental, medical, or healthcare front desk experience Experience with patient scheduling and insurance verification Knowledge of dental or oral surgery terminology The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate understands that patient care begins long before a patient sees the surgeon. They are friendly, polished, dependable, and genuinely enjoy helping people. They remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and consistently go above and beyond to ensure every patient feels valued, respected, and cared for. This role is best suited for someone who takes pride in delivering a true concierge-level patient experience and understands that every interaction reflects on the practice as a whole.
