Job Description
A small, patient-oriented medical office in Lincolnton, NC, is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to work with practice physician and support staff to ensure patient friendly and efficient operations. Duties include greeting patients/visitors at the desk, verifying insurance benefits, registering patients, scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, distributing messages, and directing calls. Provides general clerical and administrative support to the office staff as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support including, but not limited to, the following: Greets patients when they enter the clinic and gathers their information upon arrival by having them fill out forms and answers routine inquiries Performs basic clerical functions such as photocopying, scanning, fax, sorts and distributes mail Represents the clinic in a professional manner in person, in telephone conversations, and in written correspondence Schedules patients appointments Enters/verifies/updates Patient Demographics Collects co-pays from patients at time of appointment check-in Handles pre-authorizations/certifications as necessary Assists with correction of information required for claims resolution Relays information to patients regarding preparation of diagnostic tests and examinations Maintains forms and office supplies required for front desk activities Assist with filing and organization of information Respects and maintains privacy and dignity of patients and assures patient confidentiality at all times Other related responsibilities: Prioritize and organize workload Employees must follow all guidelines and policies of NSMG. Any other duties as assigned Requirements
• High School diploma or GED

Pay:
$14.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 32.0 per week
