Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional administrative and clinical support to ensure smooth daily operations within the medical practice. Your energetic approach and commitment to accuracy will help enhance patient experiences and maintain efficient office workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service. Responsibilities Collect vitals, complete tests/procedures as directed by the providers. Collect specimen for lab testing (including phlebotomy). Complete Prior Authorizations for medications as needed. Manage nurse visits for injections, vitals check, testing and labs. Relay lab results, medication changes, and general information to the patients as directed by the provider. Pull medical records for patients, look up medical records for scheduling physicals and screenings. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong knowledge of medical terminology and health information management Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; clinic experience required. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and medical records management Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone manner and effective communication abilities Phlebotomy certification. Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
