Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Pizza Cook at Cellucci's Italian Restaurant and Bar! Bring your passion for food preparation and kitchen excellence to life! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for crafting delicious, high-quality pizzas, strombolis and calzones, that delight our guests. Your expertise in food safety, kitchen equipment operation, and recipe adherence will ensure every serving meets our standards of excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while contributing to a vibrant dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, strombolis and calzones according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, dough press, mixers, slicers, and other tools safely and efficiently. Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards and prevent contamination. Assist with food preparation tasks including ingredient portioning, dough making, topping assembly, and garnishing. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect results every time. Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment conducive to high-volume production. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, preferably within a restaurant or catering setting, with a focus on pizza or similar cuisine. Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures. Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to food presentation standards. Experience with food industry standards including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with food handling protocols. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume meal service periods. Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning new culinary skills is essential.
