Company Overview Contentnea Health is a Community Health Center providing comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health services for members of our communities in Greene, Pitt and Pamlico counties in eastern North Carolina. Job Summary Provides support to patients and helps them navigate the health services offered. Responsibilities and Duties Serves as the primary contact for patients seeking health care services. Responds to incoming calls. Follows customer service guidelines established by the organization. Documents all interactions and maintains accurate and detailed patient records. Creates patient health record. Verifies and updates patient demographics in Practice Management System. Identifies and resolves or escalates patient concerns to the appropriate department or supervisor. Schedules, reschedules or cancels appointments by following schedule templates. Confirms appointments by reaching out to patients or by using appointment reminder software. Supports patient care by identifying patient needs. Navigates patient's account to offer information or support decision making. Directs phone calls to the appropriate person. Accesses and responds to patient messages in the appointment reminder platform. Adheres to established guidelines for patient assistance. Fosters interdepartmental communication by utilizing the appropriate communication tools consistently. Qualifications and Skills Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program.
