Job Description

At Columbus Regional Healthcare System we offer professional growth and advancement for every employee. Working at CRHS allows you to have the intimate hospital feel while still being provided with the large healthcare system resources. Transcribes medical dictation that becomes permanent records of medical, scientific and legal value. Also performs a variety of receptionist, clerical and organizing support services for the Imaging department. Registers patients, gathering all relevant insurance and medical information. Maintains files and is responsible for disseminating radiological reports to appropriate parties. Maintains confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

High school graduate.



Proficient in word processing and typing. Knowledge of medical and anatomical terminology.



Good grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.

Preferred:

Formal vocational coursework in Medical Transcription, medical and anatomical terminology.

CMT Experience:

Demonstrates proficiency in speed and accuracy of transcription. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months.
