Job Description

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Previous experience with patient care preferred. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or
REGISTRATION
HeartSaver CPR required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Ensures a secure and safe patient environment by remaining in the patient room. 2. Obtains any patient care instructions from patient care team. 3. Remains observant of patient activity and behavior and notifies care team of any changes. 4. Notifies care team of any patient requests. 5. Responds as directed by care team to address patient basic care or safety needs. 6. Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to monitor patient safety and react appropriately to environmental safety factors. Proficient and appropriate interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to respond to emergency or urgent situations. Ability to maintain concentration when subject to frequent and varied interruptions and noise levels. Ability to interact with patients and care team staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Possible exposure to infection and contagious diseases. Occasional exposure to radiation hazards Exposure to housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemical. Contact with patient under a variety of circumstances.
