In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, guiding them through the registration process, verifying insurance information, and ensuring a smooth flow of administrative operations. Your proactive communication skills and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while maintaining compliance with health regulation policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support patient care through efficient administrative support and excellent customer service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures using patient management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems Verify patient insurance coverage, collect co-pays, and update billing information accurately in medical administrative support systems Schedule appointments efficiently while managing calendar updates and follow-up reminders Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to health regulation policies and HIPAA guidelines at all times Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries to appropriate departments or personnel Support medical staff by preparing necessary documentation and managing electronic health records (EHR) with precision Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details, insurance requirements, and necessary documentation Assist with billing processes, including processing claims and explaining coverage options to patients Skills Proven experience in a medical office or dental office environment, demonstrating familiarity with healthcare procedures and terminology Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for administrative tasks Knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance to ensure patient privacy and data security Experience supporting medical administrative functions using patient management software and EMR/EHR systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person Understanding of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and electronic health records (EHR) management Ability to type quickly and accurately while maintaining attention to detail during data entry tasks Prior experience in office settings that involve managing client communication and maintaining organized records Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to healthcare environments This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care through efficient administrative support.
