Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Manages phones 2. Greets patients 3. Schedules/confirms appointments 4. Enters demographics & patient information into EMR 5. Verifies insurance coverage, complete forms, collect co-pays 6. Balances cash 7. Maintains schedule in EMR system, and processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases. 8. Helps on phone lines for NICE as assigned 9. Float to other offices at least twice a month 10. Collaborate with other team members for a positive patient experience 11. Manages inbasket messages in EMR 13. Completes Registration process. Registers all new patients and verifies information on existing patients. 14. Assists in the organizational structure of the unit and ongoing work environment. 15. Communicate well with team members. Works well with co-workers and fosters department goals. 16. Other related duties that may come up or those assigned
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience 2. Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred 3. Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus
Preferred:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 2. Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task 3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
