JOB DESCRIPTION

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Office Associate I at Hackettstown Medical Center. Required hours are 8:00AM-4:00PM weekdays. Starting rate $20.05/hr.

Essential Function/Responsibilities:

Manages phones. Greets patients. Schedules/confirms appointments. Enters demographics & patient information. Verifies insurance coverage, complete forms, collect co-pays. Balances cash. Maintains schedule in EMR system, and processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases. Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications/Requirements:

HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required. To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus. Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Relevant Experience:

Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred.
