Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and client focused individual to join our team as a Patient Care Representative. The Veterinary Patient Care Representative acts as a liaison between pet owners, doctors and veterinary staff. The PCR's primary focus is providing the best patient care while also providing excellent customer service to our clients. The PCR's responsibilities include: managing client communications, explaining treatment plans, coordinating patient discharges, maintaining detailed and accurate records, and handling billing and financial updates. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities:
  • Patient Admission to the hospital
  • Patient registration: verification of patient information, updating records
  • Discharge planning and scheduling
  • Liaison between the doctor and client, handling communications
  • Financial/billing conversations with clients, handling payments at time of discharge
  • Excellent Attention to detail
  • Must be highly proficient using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Daily rounds with doctors and support staff
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a veterinary hospital
  • Medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical and dental records
  • Proficient in using multi-line phone systems
  • Strong, clear and kind communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficiency in using software such as EMR and patient portals (Ezyvet)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Open availability Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays, day and evening hours.
