This position is designed to be both clinical and administrative and reports to the Practice Manager. Using a customer service attitude for all patient interactions in person and on the telephone. Being a keen observer while collecting and recording data about the patient. Addressing the needs of patients, visitors, co-workers, and the practice in a positive and timely manner. Demonstrating strong computer skills. Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients including infection prevention techniques according to hospital standards. Assisting providers with procedures and examinations. Performing treatments and procedures as directed. Reassuring patients about wait times and delays, while giving priority to acutely ill patients. Maintaining medical records accurately. Checking equipment and stocking supplies as needed. Placing supply and pharmacy orders. Facilitating and executing physician orders as directed. Coordinating and scheduling referrals and surgeries.
