Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Due to our small office size, staff and providers work closely together. Duties Checking patients in and out with kindness. Ability to multi-task. Answering phone calls of all natures, ranging from scheduling and refill requests to relaying messages to one of our providers. Assisting providers with patient care, procedures, clerical work and some insurance tasks. Phlebotomy and obtaining specimens, such as urine and throat cultures, etc. Processing specimens for testing, both in-house and external laboratories. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical facility, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Performing office procedures such as EKGs and checking blood pressures and all necessary vitals. Relaying test results to patients over the phone. Obtaining prior authorizations for certain procedures based on patients' insurance requirements. Ensure Patient confidentiality.
