The following opportunity is available:
• We are looking for an individual with a Medical Billing & Coding background or a General Business/Accounting background with 2+ years healthcare experience and an interest in teaching to join our team. The Medical Billing & Coding/Medical Office Instructor is responsible for teaching courses described in the Billing & Coding program each cycle. This includes utilizing effective teaching tools such as audio/visual equipment and reference materials; preparing lesson plans and learning experiences; following an established course outline; managing a classroom of students; evaluating students through testing and other related means and reporting on and recording class and individual student progress.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience working within a physician's office or general office environment Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required Knowledge of Google Docs and Sheets helpful but not required Knowledge of QuickBooks helpful but not required Knowledge of Medical Office procedures and EMR programs helpful but not required Knowledge of ICD-10 helpful but not required Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology helpful but not required An ability to learn new methodologies and systems Excellent communication skills Teaching experience a plus
