Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) systems, including EMR systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical documentation review, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and ensure proper care plan documentation aligns with clinical protocols. Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing excellent customer service while managing appointment requests and inquiries. Support medical staff by managing medical records requests, coordinating referrals, and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive health information. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical and administrative skills. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance verification processes including Medicare and health insurance policies. Understanding of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and documentation review processes. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing).
