Work Environment This position is set within an outpatient office environment, where you'll engage directly with patients in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist at Hughstone Medical Physicians Services, your key responsibilities will include: Evaluating patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions within an outpatient setting. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that utilize exercise, stretching techniques, hands-on therapy, and various medical equipment to relieve pain and enhance mobility. Monitoring patient progress meticulously and documenting all treatments, responses, and adaptations to therapy plans as warranted. Revising therapeutic goals based on ongoing evaluations and tailoring new treatment plans to reflect changes in patient conditions. Assessing and fitting patients for assistive devices that promote independence in self-care and mobility, ensuring safety and efficacy. Providing extensive education and support to patients, caregivers, and family members regarding therapeutic techniques and the use of assistive devices. Maintaining professional knowledge through continuous education, attending workshops, and engaging with professional organizations to stay updated on best practices in physical therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patient population ranges across all age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, representing a broad spectrum of diagnoses ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. You will play a pivotal role in not only healing injuries but also promoting long-term wellness and mobility, enhancing the overall quality of life for your patients. Qualifications The ideal candidate for this role will possess: A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A valid state license in Physical Therapy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to connect effectively with patients and their families. Proficiency with word processing and computer systems to document patient care accurately. A highly flexible and adaptable approach to treatment, responding effectively to the needs of diverse patients. Preferred Experience While prior work experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
