Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Admitting Office Position Summary Summary:
The Admitting Clerk perform accurate and timely admissions of patients to their perspective units by utilizing the appropriate hospital systems, maintaining patient confidentiality. The Admitting Clerk also strives to facilitate patients and/or families payments and assist those with financial hardship in the most cost effective means possible and ensure timely cash flow.
Qualifications Responsibilities:
Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program High school graduation or equivalent required. Must complete in-house orientation program. Experience And Skills Speaks, reads and writes English Knowledge and Experience with Managed Care & Third Party Insurance Coverage and Requirements. Good organizational, planning and problem solving skills. Knowledge of Medical Terminology & Coding Preferred. Good Written & Oral Skills. License/Certifications • Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Extensive Periods of Time sitting. Extensive Periods of Time using a Computer.
