Contract Job Duties:

Register outpatient and inpatient patients, including admissions, discharges, and transfers, while accurately collecting and updating demographic, medical, and financial information. Verify insurance eligibility and coverage, determine primary payer responsibility, and facilitate required prior authorizations and pre-certifications. Interview patients to ensure positive patient identification, complete Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaires, and prevent registration or identity-related errors. Collect co-payments, deposits, and patient payments, process cash receipts, and balance the cash drawer accurately. Explain and obtain signatures for required financial, insurance, Medicare, privacy, and patient-care documents. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, hospital regulations while providing professional and customer-focused service.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent/GED. Previous business office or retail/customer service experience. Minimum 2 years of hospital, physician office, or healthcare business office experience preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Strong communication, customer service, computer, and data-entry skills, with high attention to detail. 1+ year of experience Patient Registration 1+ year of experience Insurance Verification 1+ year of experience

Hospital Schedule:
