Job Description

Tri-Century Eye Care is hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative to support our fast-paced ophthalmology practice. What You'll Do Welcome patients, check them in, and ensure a smooth and friendly experience Answer phones, complete tasks and assist patient in the call center Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Verify insurance coverage and process patient payments Handle billing questions and assist with financial inquiries Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) Serve as a communication hub between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers Provide excellent customer service and resolve patient concerns Complete administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and document management Support daily office operations to keep patient flow running efficiently Perks & Benefits Starting at $19/hour, based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance (group plan + complementary vision plan) 401(k) with employer contribution and profit-sharing after 12 months Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Uniform reimbursement Employer-paid group life insurance Voluntary Life, AD&D, and disability coverage Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Benefits begin the 1st of the month after hire (some after 90 days) What we're looking for 1+ years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or customer service Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills Comfort working in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency with basic office software Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology is a plus Experience with insurance verification or medical billing preferred Prior ophthalmology experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate Additional Details Mix of desk-based work and active patient interaction Must adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality Reliable transportation is necessary
