Job Summary:
Direct contact with patients/families; answer phone and relay messages; direct patients to the appropriate locations and coordinate with various hospital departments for efficient patient flow; identify and report any safety hazards or environmental concerns to appropriate staff; assist with other tasks as warranted by department needs.Position location:
Upstate Cancer Center Atrium. Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills are necessary. Knowledge of medical terminology is desiredMinimum Qualifications:
The NYS Department of Civil Service has developed the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program, Effective April 5th, 2023. During this program, the NYS Civil Service Exam requirements are suspended for the Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1, SG07 title. For consideration for this title, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting.Work Days:
