In this position your primary responsibilities revolve around customer service. You help inpatient guests sign in and fill out the proper paperwork, schedule appointments over the phone, and answer questions those in the waiting room may have. You also have administrative and data entry duties, including maintaining charts and medical records. Our perfect candidate has receptionist experience, preferably in a medical office, and is familiar with medical terminology. Prior experience is preferred but not required. Duties and responsibilities Receiving and sorting daily mail/deliveries/couriers Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately Assist visitors in filling out forms Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, collating, faxing etc. Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments Answer telephone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate person; document clinical calls in EMR Respond to emails and office correspondence Monitor, stock and restock office machines Assist in resolving clients' issues and complaints Take patient demographics, insurance information and copayments at time of service Ensure that patients and visitors are educated on the clinical procedures and policies Assist clinical staff with clinical phone line when needed Complete medical record requests Index incoming faxes Requirements and Qualifications Proficient with Microsoft Suite Professional appearance Arrive for shift on time, schedule flexibility Solid communication skills both written and verbal Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure High school diploma or GED certificate Pay and Benefits Hourly range $18 - $21 401k
