Hours are approximately 8 am to 5 pm, however, we are possibly expanding hours to either earlier or later in the day to accommodate our clients. We are open to candidates that would like 4 or 5 days of work per week.

Physician and Practice Manager Job Summary:
The Patient Service Specialist performs the essential duties in a busy, growing plastic surgery practice. Provides a friendly and efficient patient experience when patients visit the practice. Responsible for greeting patients upon arrival, review and verify patient demographic information, obtain signatures for HIPAA and other practice consents as necessary, coordinate their visit with the appropriate clinical staff members in an efficient and pleasant manner, collect any monies due, schedule follow up appointments, and politely thank the patient at the end of their visit. Also responsible for answering telephones and providing patients with accurate information, maintaining patient files which includes entering updated patient information into the computer system, and distributing daily correspondence to the appropriate departments. Education and Experience:
Minimum of High school diploma Basic typing, English and mathematical skills Two years of experience in a medical office preferably in a plastic surgery specialty setting working as a patient service specialist Minimum of six months' experience using an Electronic Health Record or Electronic Medical Record Essential Skills and competencies: Achieving a standard of excellence with our work processes and outcomes Striving for high patient satisfaction, going out of your way to be helpful and pleasant, making care as convenient as possible Communicating clearly, which includes balancing listening and talking, speaking and writing clearly and accurately, influencing others and keeping others informed Being helpful, respectful, approachable and team oriented, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment Taking ownership of your work, doing what is needed without being asked and following through Managing time well Being punctual Being cost conscious and thinking of ways to do the job more efficiently Being receptive to feedback, willing to learn and embracing continuous improvement Pleasant personality and disposition Highly motivated and well-organized with attention to detail Demonstrates neat and orderly work habits Ability to multi-task Ability to use IOS devices such as Ipads and MAC computers.
responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently schedule an established patient or a new patient including facilitating getting the patient to complete their online medical history. Politely greet and orient patients as they arrive for their appointments. Answer the phones in a friendly, timely, and helpful manner. Can efficiently and effectively answer patient questions regarding our providers, procedures, pricing, promotions, and any other relevant questions a patient may ask. Maintain an organized work area. Assist patients as they check out (i.e., scheduling next appointment, accurately charge patient, accepting payment including Alle and Aspire coupons. Reschedule patients as necessary which includes cancellations, utilizing the electronic waiting list, filling open appointment times, etc. Take responsibility to ensure appropriate follow through on patient questions or concerns. Review and distribute mail/correspondence accurately. Scan appropriate documents into EMR system. Maintain proper office opening and closing procedures Keep inventory of clerical supplies and reorders as necessary. Reassure patients subject to excessive waits and inform clinical staff of status as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Physician and/or Practice Manager.
