PHYSICAL THERAPIST

(PT)

Summary:

Performs patient-centered evaluations and treatments that meet all professional, legal, and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties:

Evaluation:

Review physician referrals and medical records; perform comprehensive evaluations of strength, motor development, and functional capacity.

Plan of Care:

Develop and revise individualized treatment plans to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.

Collaboration:

Work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to seamlessly integrate therapy into the patient's overall healthcare plan.

Supervision:

Oversee physical therapist assistants, students, and unlicensed personnel in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely electronic patient records.

Education:

Guide patients and caregivers on post-operative recovery, specific physician protocols, and home exercise programs.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Current or pending Ohio State Physical Therapist licensure. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire). Prior experience in an outpatient therapy setting is preferred.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

(PTA)

Summary:

Performs patient-centered treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and according to the established plan of care.

Essential Duties:

Treatment:

Administer physical therapy treatments to restore function and relieve pain following the supervising PT's plan of care.

Communication:

Regularly confer with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient progress and outcomes.

Documentation:

Complete accurate clinical documentation within designated facility timeframes.

Education:

Instruct patients and families on specialized treatment plans, safety techniques, and home exercise programs.

Professionalism:

Maintain scheduling flexibility and actively participate in facility training, staff meetings, and continuing education.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Active Ohio State PTA licensure. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Prior experience in an outpatient therapy setting is preferred.

Schedule & Benefits Status:

Hours:

Monday-Friday, no evenings or weekends.
