Job Summary The primary purpose of the Registration Position is to perform scheduling, greeting and registering of patients within the clinic setting under the direction of the director, clinic supervisor and medical director. Primary Duties Greet and welcome patients Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling Participates in the admission process for patients. Computer registration Pulling and filing of charts Collection of monies Collects and documents patient information. Shows awareness of patient's needs. Assures patient confidentiality. Documents accurately. Communicates effectively and works well with patients, co-workers and physicians. Facilitates patient flow to maintain schedule. Performs clerical duties Initiates change to improve service and efficiency in the unit. Demonstrates flexibility in meeting daily needs of the clinic. Facilitates patient records are available for future visits.. Prioritizes duties effectively and efficiently. Handles supplies in a cost-effective manner. Maintains good attendance. Maintains professional appearance. Changes behavior in response to guidelines. Demonstrates flexibility in meeting daily needs of the unit. Accepts additional duties and responsibilities within the realm of training, as needed. Multitasking skills needed 3. Possess tact and sympathy necessary in dealing with patients and fellow employees. Working Conditions May work a variety of hours 5 days per week. Fast paced, high volume clinic. Subject to frequent interruptions during performance of duties. Lunch periods and breaks are coordinated with other staff to maintain adequate unit coverage. Expected to adhere to hospital policies and procedures. Expected to fulfill position description requirements. Close contact with patients under mental and physical stress. Annual Requirements The completion of all annual requirements is mandatory every year. Pay raises will be held until completion is documented.
