Relocation will not be provided for this role. Purpose This position plays an important role in delivering accurate, timely, and reliable cost information that supports sound financial reporting, operational decision-making, and performance management across manufacturing operations. The role works closely with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to maintain costing systems, analyze variances, support close and reporting processes, and ensure compliance. Responsibilities Manage the Metallus costing system, driving process improvements and ensuring accurate, consistent, and reliable cost data across products and operations. Perform costing setup for new parts and operations, partnering with Operations and Engineering to ensure timely and accurate system integration. Collaborate with various departments to establish and maintain cost standards in support of budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. Analyze production costs and manufacturing variances, providing actionable insights to support operational and financial decision making. Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly and ad hoc reports to support management analysis and business re-views. Support month end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ad hoc projects as assigned. Support quarterly and annual internal, external, and SOX audit requests by providing documentation, analysis, and explanations. Technical/Functional Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite with a focus on Excel. Experience booking journal entries, pulling data, distributing reports. Manufacturing Cost Accounting expertise a plus. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting, finance, math, business, or related degree with at least 4 years of expierence in manurfactuing. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, math, business, or related degree with at least 2 years of expierence in manufacturing or cost accounting.
