Job Brief Full-time Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma - Gore Blvd. Lawton, OK 73505

DEFINITION
The Team Lead Central Scheduler performs a variety of tasks that requires basic knowledge of systems and procedures. Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the position is responsible for scheduling procedures for various departments in the hospital. The position is also responsible for all incoming faxes for multiple ancillary departments in the hospital. The position is also responsible for checking medical necessity for patients with Medicare insurance on the PCA system. The position is also responsible for updating the physician non-staffs when the patient is admitted for a procedure.
EDUCATION
Prefer a minimum of two years college-level education in a healthcare-related, computer sciences, and/or business field preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer one-year "hand on" data processing experience. Prefer two-year experience in a healthcare environment with exposure to patient scheduling, medical terminology, and/or patient admissions.
