$95,326-$147,763 per year + comprehensive benefits Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Patient Access and Practice Management to provide leadership and operational oversight for patient access functions and clinic practice management operations within a rural healthcare organization in Eastern Oregon. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and patient-centered access to care across the Emergency Department, outpatient services, Rural Health Clinic, and Surgery Clinic. The Director will oversee front-end patient access operations, clinic workflows, staffing, performance improvement, and operational effectiveness while partnering closely with medical, financial, clinical, and administrative leadership. Key Responsibilities Patient Access Leadership Provide strategic and operational oversight of registration, check-in/check-out, scheduling, referrals, and authorizations. Oversee patient access operations across Emergency Department, outpatient, and clinic settings. Establish and maintain standardized patient access workflows. Monitor registration accuracy, wait times, authorization turnaround, scheduling efficiency, and patient satisfaction. Serve as an escalation point for complex patient access issues, payer-related challenges, and patient concerns. Practice Management Provide daily operational leadership for Rural Health and Surgery Clinic operations. Manage clinic workflows, staffing, scheduling, and operational support. Partner with providers and clinical leadership to support provider productivity and efficient scheduling. Oversee back-office clinic operations and workflow design. Support onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development of clinic staff. Monitor operational and financial performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement. Leadership & Collaboration Supervise, coach, and evaluate patient access and practice management staff. Develop workforce plans and help ensure appropriate staffing levels. Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, the Chief Medical Officer, CFO, and administrative leadership. Support initiatives involving access to care, quality, patient experience, and financial sustainability. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare environment . Previous clinic, department, or healthcare supervisory/management experience. Experience working collaboratively with physicians, managers, clinical teams, and administrative leadership. Knowledge & Skills Strong knowledge of patient access operations and clinic practice management. Understanding of healthcare workflows and front-end revenue cycle processes. Knowledge of CMS, DNV, Rural Health Clinic (RHC), HIPAA, and payer requirements .
