Job Description

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Service Representative, where your energetic and positive attitude will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks with precision and care. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic operations, foster patient satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of health regulation policies.
SCHEDULE
: Weekly schedule will include 1 late shift of 12pm-8:30pm , 3 shifts ranging from 7:45am-5:30pm and Saturdays alternating every 4 weeks (hours 8a-12)p; will leave early on Thursdays if working the Saturday to make 40 hours.
A sample schedule would be:
Monday 745a-415p Tuesday 8a-430p Wednesday 12-830p Thursday 9a-530p Friday 745a-415p Schedules are available 2 weeks out.
Position overview:
Patient Service & Scheduling :
Answering patient calls and handling inquiries promptly, following protocols and service standards. Scheduling appointments (in person or by phone), confirming details, and rescheduling or canceling as needed. Managing patient arrival and departure activities — collecting copays, obtaining insurance cards, signatures, and referrals, and updating records in the EMR. Communicating wait times and patient flow to both patients and staff
Financial & Administrative Tasks :
Verifying patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefits Obtaining pre-authorizations, referrals, and coordinating benefits
Regulatory & Compliance :
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local Maintaining patient confidentiality and safety
Customer Experience :
Anticipating patient needs and resolving issues promptly Building positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
