Responsibilities for
Admissions Coordinator:
Obtain resident/guardian signatures on all required permits, releases, authorizations, and admission documents in a professional and supportive manner. Conduct welcoming, informative tours for prospective residents and their families, providing clear, compassionate information about services, facilities, and care options. Maintain an accurate, up-to-date listing of all residents and their assigned room numbers to support efficient coordination and communication. Coordinate closely with healthcare providers, social workers, and family members to gather necessary documentation and ensure a smooth and timely admissions process. Maintain a resident waiting list in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure fairness, accuracy, and organization. Support overall admissions and census goals through responsive communication, follow-up, and excellent customer service. Perform other duties as assigned to support admissions, marketing, and overall facility operations. Qualifications forAdmissions Coordinator:
Minimum of 2+ years in an Admissions, Business Development, or related role within long-term care or a healthcare setting. Previous experience in healthcare community relations strongly preferred. Strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, and goal-oriented mindset. Ability to work flexible hours, as admissions and marketing responsibilities may require. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage families with empathy, professionalism, and respect. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
