Job Description
We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to support patient-facing service operations for a contract position located in the Greater Philadelphia Region. This role is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and brings prior experience coordinating appointments in a medical setting. The Patient Service Representative position is primarily remote, with initial onsite attendance required for orientation and equipment pickup, and it offers a schedule that may vary across weekday shifts with occasional weekend coverage. What you get to do every single day:
- Coordinate patient appointments and help manage calendar availability across assigned providers or departments.
- Respond to incoming patient inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information and resolving routine service needs.
- Update and maintain patient records in Epic while ensuring information is complete, timely, and compliant with internal standards.
- Support registration, appointment changes, and follow-up communication to help create a smooth patient experience.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to address scheduling conflicts and service issues.
- Handle high-volume interactions while maintaining accuracy, empathy, and attention to detail.
- Participate in required onsite activities at the start of the assignment, including orientation and equipment collection.
- Provide coverage across rotating weekday shifts and assist with weekend support as scheduled. Other requirements for the Patient Service Representative position include and are not limited to:
- At least 1+ years of experience in a patient service, customer service, or healthcare support role.
- Prior background working in a medical office, hospital, or similar healthcare environment.
- Hands-on experience scheduling appointments or coordinating patient visits.
- Working knowledge of Epic software in a healthcare setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a remote work environment.
- Flexibility to work varying Monday through Friday shifts and one weekend approximately every four weeks.
